STAFF at Basingstoke-based Miller Homes South are holding a charity ball to raise funds for Naomi House and Jacksplace on Saturday May 16.

Money raised at the event at Sandford Springs Golf Club, in Kingsclere, will go towards helping staff at the all-purpose built hospices, providing a homely environment to children and young people.

Tracey Lee, area sales and marketing director at Miller Homes, based at Spinnaker House, in Lime Tree Way, on Hampshire International Business Park, Chineham, said the firm wants to give something back to the local community.

She said: “The staff at Naomi House and Jacksplace offer fantastic support to young people and their families and we want to raise as much money as possible to help them do this.”

“The charity is hoping to revamp some of their high street shops to encourage more shoppers through the doors and we’re hoping to help them. We’re looking forward to the ball and hope it will be a big success.”

Naomi House and Jacksplace area fundraiser Jill McDonagh said: “We are extremely grateful to everyone at Miller Homes for their support.

“Our shops are key to contributing to the £7 million we need to raise every year to run Naomi House and Jacksplace.

“Not only do they bring in vital funds, our shops also provide a link with the communities we serve and have a real visual presence on the high street.”
