GET your marching orders and get fit for 2015 in Basingstoke’s War Memorial Park.

That’s the message that a new outdoor bootcamp training business called Elements Outdoor Military Fitness is firing out for the attention of local people.

The venture is run by two fully qualified and experienced military physical training instructors, Gary Kennedy and Daniel “Tina” Turner, who are both corporals serving with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.

They aim to push their clients to the next level of training every Monday and Wednesday evening and on a Saturday morning at the town centre park.

Daniel said: “Before you know it, you will be seeing the results which seemed so distant at the beginning.

“We aim to cater for all abilities providing fun, progressive and constantly varied fitness sessions for our clients, whose personal goals are hugely important to us.

“These vary from weight loss to overall health and fitness and we’re there to support individuals through every step of their journey.”

Gary, who has been in the Army for 10 years, said: “Our clients come in all fitness abilities, from complete beginners to those who are keen adventure race enthusiasts, as well as many of them training towards iron man style endurance events in the upcoming months.

“We offer specific training days for these events and will cater to an individual’s training to ensure they gain as much as they can from our sessions.”

Daniel, who has served in the Army for eight years and completed a tour of Afghanistan in 2011, said: “Our job is to physically and mentally prepare phase two recruits before they join their first units within the field army. Our main mission is to ensure that soldiers are fully prepared for service on operations.”

Gary completed tours of Iraq in 2008 and Afghanistan in 2011, where he received a Queen’s Commendation for Bravery under fire for his actions in an intense fire fight with the Taliban.
