THE owner of The Hampshire Court Hotel has scooped the AA Hotel Group of the Year.

Qhotels, which has 21 luxury properties in its group, has won the accolade at the AA Hospitality Awards 2014.

It is the second time the group has won the prestigious award.

Dan Kelly, general manager of The Hampshire Court Hotel, just off Great Binfields Road, in Chineham said the award underlines the hotel’s commitment to deliver outstanding standards of product and service.

He said: “We’re delighted to have been recognised with yet another prestigious accolade this year and it really is testament to the hard work of the staff, not only at this hotel but across the group. We would also like to thank our loyal customer base for their continued support.” Mr Kelly said this demonstrates a range of award-winning qualities, as QHotels are recognised for their focus on the quality of their food and drink and for their unwavering passion to ensure that every guest has a personalised experience that exceeds their expectations.

The four-star hotel boasts five indoor and three outdoor French soft clay tennis courts, whilst its leisure club offers an adult’s only pool, a fun pool, exercise studio, a fully-equipped gym and five treatment rooms.

Recently the hotel invested more than £220, 000 in a brand new eco-friendly gym, fully kitted out with Pulse equipment.

In 2013 Qhotels scooped Number one UK Hotel Chain from consumer magazine Which?

Earlier this year it won the top three slots at the VenueVerdict Awards – the Gold Standard Group award, the No 1 Large Group and the No 1 Hotel award.
