TWO vivacious Basingstoke party girls have teamed up to ensure that Cinderella finds that perfect gown for the ball.

While they can’t guarantee that their clients will meet a Prince Charming, they will make them look like a princess.

The new business is called Elegance Boutique and it is run by Charlie Hobbs and Caz Ford, who currently work for two blue chip companies in sales and customer service.

The idea of the business stems from when the pair attended a summer ball at Oakley Hall.

“It was an amazing ball,” recalled Caz. “And that’s when we realised there was a market for beautiful dresses.

“But we couldn’t find any shop local to us that could give us what we wanted. And buying the dresses is very expensive, especially if you don’t want to wear the same dress more than once.”

Few would disagree with them with a price tag of around £300.

They are now looking forward to a successful season of spring, summer and autumn balls, not to mention Christmas events too, “We are doing this because there is a need for people to look beautiful,” explained Caz.

Charlie has managed to source the dresses from wholesalers, with quality names such as Mark Lesley and Alfred Angelo.

“There is a whole range of different sizes, styles and colours – we’ve got about 120 dresses at the moment. They are high spec and well made.

“And they are robust because of the types of places where they will be worn, on cruises, proms and graduation balls.

“We also do bridesmaid dresses too,” added Charlie, who said they may in the future expand to include accessories.

Dress sizes range from four to 20 and can be tried on in the comfort of Charlie’s Oakridge home, where private evening and weekend appointments can be made.
