ROMANS Group has secured a £12 million finance facility from its bankers to support its lettings acquisition strategy.

The property company, which has branches in Hampshire, including Basingstoke, as well as in Berkshire and Surrey, has completed four acquisitions in the last year and, since its management buyout six months ago, has further transactions in the pipeline.

Peter Fuller, managing director of Romans Lettings, said: “With our extensive acquisition experience in the local area, capacity and recently secured financing facility we are ready and able to consider any acquisition opportunity and plan to accelerate our rate of growth this year and in the years to come.”

Romans was bought by its management team, backed by Bowmark Capital, in 2013 and has since acquired numerous lettings businesses.

“We have built a strong reputation of trust among vendors in the residential lettings arena with our open, straightforward approach which sees us working hand-in-hand and with owners selling their lettings businesses or portfolios,” said Mr Fuller.

“As a business we are geared to delivering high levels of customer service to our landlords, and this culture has always appealed to business owners as they have often built up a very loyal landlord base, and want to ensure that these clients continue to be looked after.”
