THE managing director of 1-1 Recruitment is on the lookout for someone who demonstrates drive and commitment.

The successful candidate will also be someone who has enjoyed impressive business success here in north Hampshire – and the prize up for grabs is the Entrepreneur of the Year title at the INSPIRE Business Awards.

Helen Floor said the hard-working winner will also be someone full of enthusiasm, as well as being an affable character.

It is the first time that 1-1 Recruitment, which has offices at Faraday Office Park, in Basingstoke, and in Winchester, has sponsored an INSPIRE award.

She said: “We’ve been through a growth period over the last five years, and now we feel we would like to give something back and get more involved in the local business community.

“I set up 1-1 Recruitment 14 years ago, and know how hard it is to start up a business, especially these days.

“I admire anyone who sets up on their own, and we need more people to take the risk and go for it.”

The awards, which are organised by Destination Basingstoke, are open to businesses that pay their business rates in one of the sponsoring local authority areas – Basingstoke and Deane, Rushmoor, Hart and Test Valley.

Entering is simple – just visit inspirebusinessawards.co.uk.

The deadline for entries is August 31, and the awards night will take place at The Hampshire Court Hotel, in Chineham, on Thursday, November 21.
