Unfortunately I was away for the bulk of Silkfest - but I was back for most of Sunday.
HAVING not been to a gig for two weeks on account of being away, I was adamant that I would be checking out Basingstoke's favourite ska-punkers Ill Gotten Gains - regardless of how far I had to travel.
TWO weeks into the New Year and this was the first time I had managed to get to a Basingstoke show thanks to stiff competition from out-of-town gigs.
Also performing were Let's Talk Daggers, Zoax and Baby Godzilla.
AS soon as the details for this show were made public, it was carved in stone in my diary.
The line-up consisted of Amethyst Kiss, L.U.X, Champion Jack, Strange Planes, Swim Good and Hearts Under Fire.

I SURVIVED the Saturday (just), but with all my chores I missed the first band on Sunday, which was annoying.
THE Punk'n'Disorderly crew opted for a midweek slot this time to fit in with a touring band, so it would be interesting to see how it compared.
