Right, that's all from me. Join me again on Tuesday, when Town host another struggling team in Chelmsford City.

Meanwhile, Basingstoke Bison are in play-off semi-final action against Guildford Flames. It's 1-1 at the moment. Click here for live coverage from Coventry.

5:33pm

Today's results have seen Town slip to 14th in the table. They are eight points clear of the bottom three but could do with a couple more wins to be sure.

VIDEO REACTION

Jason Bristow was clearly angry when I spoke to him today. See what he had to say by clicking here.

5:03pm

Elsewhere, Basingstoke RFC lost 41-32 at Tonbridge Juddians, while Reading won 1-0 at Charlton.

5:02pm

A game that turned on two moments. An inexplicable mistake from Wells gave Tonbridge the lead, while Bakare's magic won the game just after Town got back into it.

Reaction to follow.

4:59pm

Tonbridge Angels 2-1 Basingstoke Town

4:58pm

90+4 - Bignall heads at goal, but it's easy for the home goalkeeper.

4:57pm

90+3 - Daly gives the ball away in a bad area and Chris Piper has a chance to put the game beyond doubt, but Wells saves with his legs.

4:54pm

We're just ticking into five minutes of added time, most of it for the Smart injury.

4:53pm

89 - Tonbridge Angels - Danny Walder on for Mark Lovell

4:52pm

It's all Town at the moment. Tonbridge are dropping deeper and deeper.

4:50pm

86 - Not like that. Soares lets fly from the edge of the area but it's well over, almost clearing the stand.

4:49pm

Five minutes left. Can Town find an equaliser?

4:45pm

82 - Phillip Appiah - Tonbridge Angels

Appiah catches Daly late and goes into the book.

4:45pm

81 - Williams lets fly from distance but that's wayward.

4:44pm

81 - Williams lets fly from distance but that's wayward.

4:43pm

Smart was down for a while after taking a blow to the head, but he seems okay now.

4:37pm

73 - Tonbridge Angels 2-1 Basingstoke Town - Michael Bakare

Parity didn't last long though. It's a great goal from MICHAEL BAKARE, who turned well midway inside the Town half and made ground before sweeping the ball in from the right side of the area.

4:35pm

70 - Tonbridge Angels 1-1 Basingstoke Town - Shaun McAuley

A low ball into the area falls to SHAUN McAULEY, who fires home from close range.

4:33pm

68 - Basingstoke Town - Louie Soares on for Andrew Jenkinson

An attacking change for Town.

4:31pm

67 - Tonbridge Angels - Michael Bakare on for Luis Cumbers

4:30pm

There are 354 people here this afternoon.

4:29pm

Bit of a lull at the moment. Tonbridge are holding on to the ball and killing the game.

4:25pm

61 - Mark Lovell - Tonbridge Angels

Lovell prevents Wells from kicking the ball clear from his hands and is booked.

4:24pm

60 - Tonbridge are having a decent spell and Muggeridge fires in a decent shot, but Wells is across to make the save.

4:20pm

57 - Tonbridge Angels - Phillip Appiah on for Nathan Green

4:18pm

53 - Good interplay by the Town forwards leads to a shooting chance for Adam Green. He lets fly from about 20 yards, and it's not far over.

4:16pm

51 - McAuley scored direct from a corner here a couple of years ago. He almost does the same again, but Carey tips it away. Wind is behind Town in the second half.

Starting to think at this rate that we might end up finishing closer to the relegation zone than playoff's

though we might of been better today 1st half again there is more evidence that we are just not doing the business up front and almost finding ourselfs scoring just 1 goal in 6 games

4:12pm

48 - Tonbridge work the ball out to Watts on the left. He has space for a shot but fires well wide.

4:11pm

47 - Bignall lets fly from distance but it's well over.

4:10pm

46 - Miles lets the ball bounce. That's a mistake and Enver-Marum is in, but his shot from the edge of the area lacks pace and is too close to Carey.

4:08pm

Town get the second half under way.

4:06pm

Town are out for the second half early. Tonbridge are just coming out now.

4:02pm

Elsewhere in Tonbridge, Basingstoke RFC are 27-15 at Tonbridge Juddians. They are into the second half there.

Reading are drawing 0-0 at Charlton.

4:01pm

Harsh on Town, who were the better side throughout the first 45 minutes, but conceded a stupid goal when a clearance would probably have seen the referee whistle for half-time.

Harsh on Town, who were the better side throughout the first 45 minutes, but conceded a stupid goal when a clearance would probably have seen the referee whistle for half-time.

3:55pm

Tonbridge Angels 1-0 Basingstoke Town

3:55pm

45+3 - Louis Wells - Basingstoke Town

Wells was booked for conceding the penalty, perhaps leniently.

3:52pm

45+3 - Tonbridge Angels 1-0 Basingstoke Town - Mark Lovell (pen)

Lovell sends Wells the wrong way from the penalty spot to give Tonbridge the lead right on half-time.

3:52pm

45+2 - Wells overplays after receiving a back-pass and loses the ball to Teniola. He then pulls the striker back to concede a penalty.

3:49pm

45+1 - That's an important challenge on the edge of the area to stop McAuley having a clear chance.

3:46pm

43 - A free-kick into the Town area drops for Teniola, but he volleys well over.

3:44pm

40 - Good work from Rice, who makes ground before putting in a good cross that forces Tonbridge to put the ball out for a corner. Sadly, nothing comes of it.

3:43pm

39 - That's a nice ball to release Enver-Marum down the left and his cross has Sonny Miles worried, but the centre-back does well to head clear.

3:41pm

37 - Nathan Green has been Tonbridge's most threatening player so far. He wriggles free of Jenkinson on the edge of the area but can't get enough curl on his shot and the ball floats wide.

3:40pm

36 - Enver-Marum has a run at the Tonbridge defence, but he takes the ball too far and it's out for a goal-kick.

3:39pm

Town are playing some nice stuff and pinning the hosts back, but they can't fashion a clear chance.

3:36pm

DISALLOWED GOAL

32 - A low ball across the penalty area is not dealt with by the home defence and drops to Bignall. He slots home nicely but the flag is up for offside.

3:31pm

27 - Good work from Williams on the edge of the area sets up a decent sight of goal for Enver-Marum, but he fires over. Nice interplay between the front three so far.

3:30pm

26 - A mistake at the back gives Town a promising position, but a good block stops Williams getting a shot on goal.

3:26pm

21 - The resulting free-kick also causes problems. Nathan Green puts a great ball in and Gary Elphick gets up to meet it, but he cannot get over his header and the ball flies over.

3:24pm

21 - Adam Green - Basingstoke Town

A cynical foul from Green stops Tonbridge breaking and he is booked.

3:22pm

I've spotted the pipe smoker. As I suspected, it's an old man with a beard.

3:20pm

16 - Great save Louis Wells. It's a great ball in from the left by Henry Muggeridge and Luis Cumbers gets a flick on it, but Wells shows great reactions to make the save.

3:19pm

15 - Town are on top at the moment and Andrew Jenkinson turns on the edge of the area before firing in a low shot that is comfortably dealt with by Lewis Carey in the home goal.

3:16pm

11 - A simple ball over the top is allowed to bounce and Jay Gasson is outmuscled by Alex Teniola. Fortunately for Town, his touch is heavy and Louis Wells is able to collect.

3:13pm

9 - That's a nice move from the hosts, but it ends with Watts slicing a cross behind. He had time to pick someone out there.

3:11pm

DISALLOWED GOAL

5 - Bignall does well on the right side of the area and his centre finds Manny Williams unmarked.

He should score but fails to make proper contact with his header and  while Liam Enver-Marum is able to force the ball in from close range, the assistant flags as he used his arm.

3:09pm

4 - Ryan Watts has the first shot of the match, but he fires over the stand behind the Town goal.

3:07pm

3 - A cross from the left goes just over the head of Nicholas Bignall.

3:06pm

It's 4-3-3 for Town. Tonbridge are playing 4-4-2.

3:03pm

Tonbridge get us started.

3:01pm

The sides met at the Camrose a couple of weeks ago. They drew 0-0 and it was a terrible game.

The teams are out now. Let's hope for better today.

2:59pm

Town go into today's game 13th in the Conference South table. They could move up one place with a win today.

It's a far more important game for Tonbridge, who are second from bottom, four points from safety. They really need to win today.

2:54pm

Made it to the press box and can smell the distinctive scent of a pipe being smoked. Not something you get too much these days.

2:51pm

The teams have gone inside to make their final preparations. Time for me to take my seat in the press box.

2:50pm

2:47pm

Elsewhere this afternoon, Basingstoke RFC are also in Tonbridge, taking on Juddians in a game they really need to win.

Southampton have lost 4-1 at Manchester City, while Reading are away at Charlton.

I'll try to keep you up to date with the 'Stoke and Reading games.

2:38pm

It's bad news about Ray, who has been Town's best player this season. However, there is a chance he may be fit for the Hampshire Senior Cup final.

2:37pm

TEAMS

Tonbridge Angels: Carey, Piper, Watts, Ijaha, Elphick, Miles, Muggeridge, Lovell, Teniola, Cumbers, Green. Subs: Bakare, Pinney, Appiah, Walder, Collins.

Basingstoke Town: Wells, Smart, Green, Jenkinson, Gasson, Rice, Daly, McAuley, Enver-Marum, Bignall, Williams. Subs: Adams, Holder-Spooner, Soares, Barrett, Johnson-Schuster.

2:34pm

TEAM NEWS

Two changes for Town. David Ray sustained an Achilles injury at Hayes and Yeading on Thursday and looks set to miss the rest of the season.

His place is taken by Wes Daly, who was suspended the other night, with Robbie Rice moving to centre-back and Nathan Smart to right-back.

Louie Soares drops to the bench, with Manny Williams taking his place. He could line up on the wing, or it might be a 4-3-3 formation.

2:24pm

Good afternoon and welcome to live text coverage from Longmeadow, where Basingstoke Town are the visitors to Tonbridge Angels in the Conference South.
