IT WAS interesting there were two letters last week concerning the building of housing near the incinerator and sewage works. They correctly observed they were built in isolation for a reason.
But such is the mad dash for new housing they will build anywhere. This demand is fuelled by immigration, seven hundred thousand legal immigrants last year alone.
We are told it is to fill job vacancies, yet we have millions economically inactive for a variety of reasons; get them back to work. There is a backlog of refugees, waiting for their claim to be assessed. This is due to the Tories’ incompetence at border control.
Their answer is to give everyone British nationality. Do you remember the Brexit slogan “take back control”? What happened? The Tories have done nothing; we are still in the European Court of Human Rights, used to stop deportations.
If Labour wins the next election, it will be worse. Perhaps we will see rubber dinghies leaving Dover for France, to escape.
