WE in Greener Basingstoke believe a safe future with less than two degrees of global heating depends on fast action to reduce climate change.
The May local election lets us choose the most effective councillors to do this. It will be closely fought and candidates will be knocking on doors soon.
When they do, ask them:
1. What decisive and urgent action will you Stake to get the borough to net zero carbon by 2030?
2. How will you enable investment in energy and climate solutions?
3. How will you convey the urgency of the situation to voters now and the next generation?
4. How will you promote nature recovery as part of the solution to climate change?
We’d be pleased to hear responses.
